The Brooklyn Independent Television (BIT) special presentation of Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz's State of the Borough address will air live from Brooklyn College on the BCAT TV Network on February 1. The televised special airs live starting at at 6:45pm on channels Time Warner 56, Cablevision 69, RCN 84 and in all five boroughs on Verizon 44.

Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, New York City Council Speaker Christine C. Quinn, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, BRIC Chair Lizanne Fontaine, BRIC Executive Director Leslie G. Schultz and others broke ground today on a new facility to house BRIC Arts | Media House, a multi-disciplinary arts and media complex. The $33 million project will expand BRIC’s current 19,000-square-foot space to 40,000-square-feet, and bring BRIC’s contemporary art, performing arts, and community media programs under one roof for the first time in the history of the organization.
