BRIC Receives $100,000 Economic Development Award from New York State

BRIC Arts | Media | Bklyn received a $100,000 Regional Economic Development Award from New York State as part of a $738 million package of economic development awards announced by Governor Andrew M. Cuomo on December 19, 2012.

The grant will support the creation and launch of BRIC's new public engagement campaign for BRIC Arts | Media House, the organization’s new home opening in the Downtown Brooklyn cultural district in fall 2013.

BRIC was one of only seven NYC arts organizations that received an arts grant via New York State’s Consolidated Funding Application process, and one of only 50 New York City institutions to which funding in the amount of $51.4 million was awarded. Across the state, a total of 725 projects received awards.

The awards represent round two of the Regional Economic Development Council initiative, a centerpiece of the Governor's strategy to jumpstart New York’s economy and create jobs.
