The Basic Television Studio Workshop

Brooklyn residents and individuals representing Brooklyn organizations can enroll in the Brooklyn Center for Media Education's low-cost courses to learn the basics of TV production and hone additional skills that will expand their knowledge of this dynamic medium. Upon successful completion of basic production courses, students may become Certified Producers responsible for most of the Brooklyn Free Speech programming you see on the BCAT TV Network.

All classes and workshops offered at the Brooklyn Center for Media education are hands-on and instructed by professionals with years of experience. Students are trained on the state of the art equipment they will later use in their own production pursuits.

The Brooklyn Center for Media Education has much to offer beyond television production.Classes in computer literacy, emerging web technologies, videoblogging and more are available at our facility. If you'd like to see what workshops and courses are available, simply download the BCME Brochure or check out this quarter's online listing.

The Center for Media Education at the BCAT Media Center is supported in part by a generous grant from the Verizon Foundation and The Bloomingdale's Fund of the Federated Department Stores Foundation.
