Each month, HealthBeat Brooklyn explores a different health care issue and how it affects the lives of people in Brooklyn. The show looks at the impact of specific illnesses while also addressing such topics as prevention, healthy lifestyle, access to primary care and health care disparities across economic strata. HealthBeat Brooklyn's mission is to bring free information about these important issues to all Brooklynites, particularly under served residents who traditionally have had limited access to health care.
