Arts in Education Grant Program

Local Capacity Building (LCB) Grant Program for Arts in Education

BRIC and the Brooklyn Arts Council collaborate to present the Local Capacity Building (LCB) Grant Program for Arts in Education, funded by the Arts-in-Education Program of the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency (NYSCA).

The LCB Initiative supports arts-in-education partnerships between schools and cultural organizations or individual artists that collaboratively plan, teach and implement programs that integrate the study of arts and non-arts subjects in Brooklyn schools. Projects may be developed through the initiation of teachers or other school personnel, representatives of arts/cultural organizations, or individual artists in all disciplines.

Eligible proposals will be considered for arts in education projects scheduled to take place during the school day in spring 2012. Successful applications will clearly demonstrate how the arts and non-arts subjects will be studied in an interdisciplinary or integrated fashion and cite the New York State Learning Standards in the supported arts and non-arts areas.

Applications are not being accepted at this time. Please check back for the next deadline.
