Juan Morel Campos Secondary School, Williamsburg
BRIC is dedicated to fostering school-wide communities committed to the arts. Professional development opportunities for classroom teachers, school administrators, parents, and other members of the school community are a central component of achieving this goal. These programs are unique, and created to meet the needs of each individual partner school. Meetings emphasize capacity building and often involve art-making, guest presenters, and outside assessment consultants who deepen learning about contemporary art practice and arts-in-education philosophies.
BRIC also organizes an annual
Arts-In-Education Roundtable Series at venues across Brooklyn each spring that is free and open to all educators as well as those interested in arts education.
