At what point does a work of art step away from reality and become an illusion? This question which has fascinated artists throughout history has been most recently answered in the movements of Dadaism, Surrealism and Conceptual Art. It remains today an exciting line of philosophic inquiry into the nature of the “object” in artmaking. Organized by director Jackie Battenfield, this exhibition features the work of two artists, Bill Jones and Gwenael Kerlidou, who present striking answers to these questions.
