June 1991-September 1992
Terry Lee Dill’s interactive installation was inspired by the trials of Bensonhurst youths accused of murdering Yusrf Hawkins, which took place in Brooklyn’s Supreme Court Building adjacent to the site. This contemplative responsibility to bring an end to racism speaks to institutional as well as individual responsibility to bring an end to racism.
The work was selected by a panel of artists, art professionals and community representatives from over 80 proposals. This preject was co-sponsored with The Public Art Fund.
