Paul Gardere and Children’s Windows

April 23 – August 13, 1994

Readers’ Digest/Arts International Fellow Paul Gardere is completing a residency at the Claude Monet Gardens at Giverny France. In February, he will work with the Rotunda Gallery Education Program to conduct a week-long school break program for children living in a temporary housing facility. With the Gallery staff and guest artists, children will construct three-dimensional window dioramas exploring the themes of personal identity and history, future hopes and dreams. Their work will be accompanied by Gardere’s paintings which depict seascapes in constructed sculptural frames.
