Why do we sometimes shield ourselves from knowledge? The philosopher Plato illustrated the folly of conviction and stressed the value of being open minded in his Allegory of the Cave, which suggested that a worldview might be no more than the illusion of shadows cast by the flames of a fire.

Exposure is an exhibition that explores how taking our environment for granted affects us, and how exposure to new knowledge can enhance an understanding of others and ourselves. Curated by Patrick Grenier, the exhibition presents works that offer ways to conceptually explore enlightenment and the impact of exposure to new ideas.
