BRIC Arts| Media| Bklyn and Brooklyn Historical Society partnered to present:

Artist & Artifact: Re|Visioning Brooklyn's Past
November 11 - December 17, 2010

Artist & Artifact: Re|Visioning Brooklyn's Past explores the relationship between Brooklyn's contemporary cultural heritage with its historical roots. Seven artists, two writers, and one musician were invited to re-interpret Brooklyn's historical tradition through a contemporary lens. Through this exciting initiative, contributors explored the Brooklyn Historical Society's collection for inspiration for original art work.

Featured artists: Terry Adkins, Meredith Bergmann, Elizabeth Gaffney, Stanley Greenberg, Nora Herting, Andrés Vera Martínez, Daniel José Older, Kristin Posehn, Michael Schwartz, and Xiaoze Xie.
