Invent - Create – Imagine
Join us for an imaginative adventure in art-making. Observe and be inspired by the current exhibition and create your own artwork using inspirational and fun materials. These free, drop-in events are appropriate for all ages. Family Days run throughout the 2009-10 season at BRIC Rotunda Gallery in conjunction with each exhibition on view.
April 17th - PUPPET TIME: Create and Play
Participants will create puppets of themselves and imaginary characters! Our puppet design is inspired by the South Asian tradition of "Wayang Kulit", decorative rod puppets that have magical silhouettes. Inspired by artwork in BRIC’s exhibition, A Wild Gander: Artists from the South Asian Women's Creative Collective.
June 5th - FANTASTIC FELT: Celebrate Summer. Make Your World Brighter
Come experience this bright and fantastic art material! Participants will be guided with examples of what can be made with felt and be encouraged to create anything they wish. Inspired by artwork in BRIC’s annual exhibition of student artwork made through our in-school contemporary art education program.
Cost: Free.
