The Brooklyn Poetry Slam and Open Mic brings together Brooklyn’s best slam poets for a monthly gathering of words and wisdom. As Browne remarks, “These poets will make you feel things.”
The Featured Poet for the January 16th Slam will be Dominique Christina, an award-winning writer, performer, educator, and activist. Christina holds five national poetry slam titles in the three years she competed, including the 2014 & 2012 Women of the World Slam Champion and 2011 National Poetry Slam Champion. She is presently the only person to have won two Women of the World Poetry Championships.

The Stoop at BRIC House is a public cultural gathering space featuring free, drop-in programming, and offering a place to sit, observe, and participate in multi-disciplinary work.
Beginning Nov. 1, 2022, attendees of any BRIC House programming will no longer have to show proof of vaccination or a negative test to enter the building.
