Make your voice heard in this community conversation about what culture means to you, how you experience culture in your daily life, and how your local neighborhood arts organizations can best engage you. Your voice and participation are key to ensuring that your needs and priorities are reflected in the Cultural Plan and that it is inclusive, equitable, and representative of Downtown Brooklyn's diverse and active cultural life.

DBAA is a coalition of more than 30 cultural groups organized to connect and serve Downtown Brooklyn cultural organizations, to communicate their impact on Downtown Brooklyn and to actively mobilize in the best interests of artist communities. DBAA works to connect Downtown Brooklyn cultural organizations to enable collaboration, share information and provide an effective voice that can speak to business, political and community leaders about economic benefits and service of cultural organizations to Downtown Brooklyn. DBAA also works to discuss and address issues affecting artist communities and cultural organizations in Downtown Brooklyn.
Venue Information:
BRIC House is Brooklyn’s cultural living room: a 40,000 square foot multi-disciplinary arts and media complex in the former Strand Theatre, where emerging and established artists can create work that deepens their practice and engages the diverse communities of the borough.
Beginning Nov. 1, 2022, attendees of any BRIC House programming will no longer have to show proof of vaccination or a negative test to enter the building. BRIC is committed to welcoming people of all abilities. BRIC's main entrance, located on Rockwell Street, is fully accessible. In addition the main floor of BRIC House has an accessible, all-gender bathroom. The BRIC Media Center, located on the 2nd floor, is accessible via elevator. The Gallery level is accessible via a wheelchair lift. Portable FM assistive listening devices are available for programs on the Stoop and in the Ballroom upon request.
