Come for a night of live music and discussion with the painter Laura Karetzky and composer Manuel Sosa. The artists will discuss their use of Skype and FaceTime chats with friends and loved ones as content for a unique pairing of paintings, video, and sound. The six collaborating musicians will be on hand to perform a live performance of the sound piece installed in the Project Room.

Performers include: Manuel Sosa, conductor; Yiding Chen, flute; Khady Gueye, mezzo-soprano; Jessica Niles, soprano; Thomas Schuchaskie, spoken word; Amelia Sosa, spoken word; and Huan Zhang, keyboard.

This event is in conjunction with the Project Room exhibition Laura Karetzky & Manuel Sosa: In-Communication/In-Transit, on view through May 22.
