Due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict, Jim James and The Roots' collaborative performance at Celebrate Brooklyn is being rescheduled from Wednesday, June 19th to Tuesday, June 18th. All tickets purchased during the April 17th pre-sale and April 19th general on-sale, will be honored on the new date. For those unable to attend, refunds will be available through Ticketmaster. Hip-hop and rock & roll come together as lead singer and songwriter of My Morning Jacket, Jim James, joins forces with the legendary crew,The Roots, for State of the Union: An evening of collaborative performances.
Frontman of one of the most acclaimed rock & roll bands in the world, Jim James' soulful songwriting and captivating voice have been the driving force behind My Morning Jacket for almost two decades. This year, James will release Regions of Light and Sound of God, his debut solo album.
Notorious for pushing the envelope, Grammy Award winning hip-hop crew, The Roots will join James for this evening of cross-genre jamming. Arguably the hardest working musicians in popular culture, hitting stages from Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to Lincoln Center, The Roots have been named one of the greatest live acts by Rolling Stone.
