Brooklyn’s best family daytime parties continue with special daytime activities, including family dance classes, live music, gaming, art-making, and other participatory activities, all ending with a family disco party.
November's House Party will feature a fun-filled day of learning, sharing ideas and art-making—with a hip hop flare!

Children of all ages are welcome to join in on a journey through time . . . with drills, games and rhymes! This movement exploration will stretch your imagination as participants animate graffiti designs and crowded subways through movement, and of course get down, literally (rocking on cardboard on the floor)! 1:45-2:30pm | Father Goose and Band Performs! Join the self-proclaimed "king of the dance party," and his goose trotters band for a hip-hop, reggae themed live musical performance. STOOP |
2-5pm | Minecraft Meet-Up! Place blocks and go on adventures by playing everyone's favorite game on your own or against others. MEDIA CENTER |
2:55-3:30pm | It's Showtime NYC! Performs A street dancing performance with instructional elements, courtesy of Dancing in the Streets, a South Bronx-based organization that develops movement-based projects through long term initiatives. STOOP |
3:30-5pm | Party Like Brooklyn presents baby loves disco! Move your family dance party from the living room to the BRIC House Ballroom and dance it out! Party Like Brooklyn presents an afternoon dance party featuring real music spun and mixed by real djs blending classic disco tunes from the 70s, & 80s with today’s hottest dance tunes that creates a child-proof disco for toddlers, pre-schoolers, and parents looking to let loose! Venue Information:
BRIC House is Brooklyn’s cultural living room: a 40,000 square foot multi-disciplinary arts and media complex in the former Strand Theatre, where emerging and established artists can create work that deepens their practice and engages the diverse communities of the borough.
Beginning Nov. 1, 2022, attendees of any BRIC House programming will no longer have to show proof of vaccination or a negative test to enter the building. Masks are encouraged but not required in all BRIC operated spaces. If you have questions regarding this protocol, please email Safety@bricartsmedia.org
BRIC is committed to welcoming people of all abilities. BRIC's main entrance, located on Rockwell Street, is fully accessible. In addition the main floor of BRIC House has an accessible, all-gender bathroom. The BRIC Media Center, located on the 2nd floor, is accessible via elevator. The Gallery level is accessible via a wheelchair lift. Portable FM assistive listening devices are available for programs on the Stoop and in the Ballroom upon request.
