The 2nd Annual B Free Awards Ceremony on Saturday, March 21 was a glamorous affair filled with the stars of Brooklyn Free Speech. From the performances, to the dresses, the tuxedos, the food, and the smiling faces, we’ve rolled out the red carpet again to honor the free speech crusaders who work tirelessly to share their voice with the community. If you missed it, you missed something special. This year's awards festivities kicked off with a live red carpet coverage hosted by Jessica Mason, Media Education Coordinator with Brooklyn Free Speech and Fred Brown, correspondent with BRIC TV.

The award ceremony was presented by Brian Vines, host of BRIC TV’s BK Live and the hilarious Yvonne Delet, host of The Unknown Zone Talk Show which airs on Brooklyn Free Speech. While only a few producers took a trophy home that night, we deeply value and respect the work of all those who were honored in every category. The audience will surely remember the reading of the First Amendment, everything that Brooklyn Free Speech stands for, by members of the staff in five different languages, the powerful rendition of America is beautiful by Gloria Woods and “A Poem about Freedom” by poet Maya Osborne.
