BRIC'S BROOKLYN FREE SPEECH TV NETWORK
WINS a 2020 NEW YORK EMMY
® AWARD

BRIC, a leading arts and media institution committed to building Brooklyn's creative future, is pleased to announce that its community media network, Brooklyn Free Speech TV, has won its fourth Emmy at the 63rd Annual New York Emmy® Awards on April 25, 2020.

BRIC's Emmy-winning Your Voice. Your Vote. tells a beautifully poignant and timely story about the importance of voting. Centered around Lift Every Voice and Sing (a song often called “The Black National Anthem”), the piece evokes a feeling of unity and hope, while reminding us all that our voice and our vote matters.

Your Voice. Your Vote. was filmed by BRIC, in partnership with Brooklyn Voters Alliance and YWCA Brooklyn.

Serving the Brooklyn community since 1990 and celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year, Brooklyn Free Speech TV levels the media playing field by offering online and in-person media courses, path breaking opportunities, and content distribution through its six TV and podcast channels.

Since 2014, BRIC's two community media networks—BRIC TV and Brooklyn Free Speech TV—has won 12 New York Emmy® Awards and received 56 nominations.

Congratulations to the Your Voice. Your Vote. team. We're incredibly proud! Producer: Andrew Filippone Jr.; Co-Producers: Rolanda Telesford, Julie Kerr, Amanda Ritchie; Executive Producers: Julie Slotnik Sturm, Anthony Riddle, Kristina Newman-Scott.
