A Welcome Message From Our New Interim President

BRIC Family,

Happy Fall! My name is Robin Jenkins, and I recently joined BRIC as the organization’s Interim President. I’m reaching out to say “hello” and extend my sincerest thanks for your support of BRIC and the communities that we serve.

As we search for BRIC’s next permanent leader, I’ve joined to act as a bridge to our next chapter. During this time, I’m here as both a leader and a resource for our staff, members, donors and supporters — like you — while the work of BRIC not only continues, but exceeds my expectations each and every day.

As you may have heard, we recently sold out BRIC JazzFest for the first time in the festival’s seven-year history. People from across the region gathered at BRIC House for live performances from some of the most exciting jazz artists working today. Our Community Media TV Network, Brooklyn Free Speech, also just won two NY Emmy Awards this past weekend! I’m thrilled to be a part of this dedicated team of artists, media makers, and cultural visionaries who are shaping Brooklyn’s creative future.

While my time with BRIC may not be permanent, I hope to make a lasting impact on an organization whose work is embedded within the DNA of this borough. Thanks for all that you do for BRIC, our staff, and for our shared Brooklyn community.

All my best,

Robin Jenkins

P.S. — We can always use your support in the months ahead. Head here to donate today as we look towards the future of BRIC and our work throughout Brooklyn.
