BRIC Youth Curatorial Fellowship 2022-2023

Teen Art Exhibition

BRIC Youth Curatorial Exhibition: The World, Reflected In Your Eyes is planned, promoted, designed, and judged entirely by media-savvy high school students as part of the BRIC Youth Curatorial Fellowship Program.

Thank you for you submissions!
APPLICATIONS ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED.

The World, Reflected In Your Eyes is an immersive exhibition about our realities. What are your revolutionary ideas for the future? What problems are we trying to solve? What do you want out of this reality? The room will be split into two sides: one side is a natural, blooming dreamscape. The other side is industrial, steampunk; this is open to interpretation. Together, the two sides represent imagination for multiple futures. The future is open to interpretation, based on the effects of the social challenges of the present. The Youth Curatorial Fellowship invites young up-and-coming artists to share their views on the present and their visions for the future. How do you want our world and your world to look in the future?

ABOUT THE FELLOWSHIP

The Youth Curatorial Fellowship program will focus on developing and producing the 4th Annual For-Teens-By-Teens, BRIC’s Youth Contemporary Art Exhibition. Over the course of the fellowship, fellows determine the theme of the exhibition, solicit submissions, program outreach, select participating artists, and install the show. The exhibition will showcase visual arts pieces in 2D & 3D medium (printmaking, drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, textile, mixed-media) created by NYC  high school-age artists.

Check out past exhibitions, titled I'm Walking 'Ere (2022), Looking Backwards Looking Forwards (2021) & Make This Accessible (2020).
