- Eligibility Requirements
Your film, TV show, or short MUST be submitted for air on Brooklyn Free Speech on or before Thursday, December 21, 2017 in order to be eligible for the 2018 B Free Awards.
- Content Eligibility Period
B Free Awards 2018 is only open to content creators who have aired a film, TV show, or short on Brooklyn Free Speech from January 1, 2017 - December 31, 2017. In order to make the December 31 cablecast deadline, you must apply for free channel time on or before Thursday, December 21, 2017.
- When can I submit my film, TV show, or short for the 2018 B Free Awards?
Tuesday, January 3 - Tuesday, January 31, 2018. The aforementioned dates should not be confused with the actual content eligibility deadline which is Thursday, December 21, 2017. As a reminder, you MUST apply for free channel time on Brooklyn Free Speech by Thursday, December 21, 2017 in order to be eligibile for the 2018 B Free Awards.

The B Free Awards was created in 2014 to celebrate and honor excellence in programming on Brooklyn Free Speech.
The BRIC Media Center gives Brooklynites the tools and know-how to professionally create and cablecast their own television and podcast shows on the Emmy-winning Brooklyn Free Speech, and produces non-commercial TV and podcast programs that reflect the borough's diversity of thought and culture. We provide a voice for Brooklynites just like you to air their hopes, dreams, and aspirations to the world.
The BRIC Media Center provides all Brooklynites with access to television studio facilities, equipment, and free or low-cost media training. We are located in the heart of the Downtown Brooklyn Cultural District at BRIC House, 647 Fulton Street.

Tell the driver you're going to 57 Rockwell Place (Between Fulton Street & DeKalb Avenue). It'll be much easier for them to find our building and you'll be dropped off right in front of the door.
