The B Free Awards was created with one goal in mind— to celebrate and honor the diverse voices that every week air over 650 hours of community-produced TV on BRIC's Brooklyn Free Speech TV & Podcast Network. Your film, TV show, or short MUST be submitted for air on Brooklyn Free Speech on or before Friday, December 6, 2019 in order to be eligible for the 2020 B Free Awards.
- Content Eligibility Period
B Free Awards 2020 is only open to content creators who have aired a film, TV show, or short on Brooklyn Free Speech from January 1, 2019 - December 31, 2019. In order to make the December 31 cablecast deadline, you must apply for free channel time on or before Friday, December 6, 2019.
- When can I submit my film, TV show, or short for the 2020 B Free Awards?
On or around Tuesday, January 7 - Friday, January 31, 2020. The aforementioned dates should not be confused with the actual content eligibility deadline which is Friday, December 6, 2019. As a reminder, you MUST apply for free channel time on Brooklyn Free Speech by Friday, December 6, 2019 in order to be eligibile for the 2020 B Free Awards.

BRIC House is Brooklyn’s cultural living room: a 40,000 square foot multi-disciplinary arts and media complex in the former Strand Theatre, where emerging and established artists can create work that deepens their practice and engages the diverse communities of the borough.
BRIC is committed to welcoming people of all abilities. The main floor of BRIC House has an accessible entrance on Rockwell Place, in addition to an accessible, all-gender bathroom. The BRIC Media Center, located on the 2nd floor, is accessible via elevator. The Gallery level is accessible via a wheelchair lift. Portable FM assistive listening devices are available for programs on the Stoop and in the Ballroom upon request.
