Arianna "Kala" Brameis a multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, poet, MC and teacher based in Brooklyn, NY. Trained in classical and jazz piano at Westminster Conservatory and Sarah Lawrence College, Kala is also a student of percussion, West African and Afro Latin drumming. The Lost Tribe is the host of ancestors and spirit allies that walk with and guide us –artistically and practically- in day-to-day life. To honor The Lost Tribe is to acknowledge, invoke and celebrate ancestral presence and support. Kala and The Lost Tribe have performed at such NYC venues as Baby's Alright, The Bowery Electric, National Sawdust and Blue Note's Late Night Groove Series.

B-Side is BRIC TV's live in-studio music series and screening, featuring performances from emerging and established musicians -- free of charge. The in-studio seating is very limited and is FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED. RSVPs do not guarantee entry and are used solely for measuring attendance. These performances are open to the public, however our studio space is limited. For this reason, the performance will be broadcasted on the Stoop simultaneously.
