#BHeard Town Halls
In 2014, following the death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, MO and the national discussion around race and policing, BRIC TV launched its #BHeard Town Hall series: a who’s who of local politicians, activists, journalists and community members, gathered in BRIC House to unpack some of the most important yet difficult social issues facing the borough today.
Since its inception, BRIC TV has produced more than ten live-televised town hall events on topics ranging from school segregation and LGBT civil rights to race & mass incarceration, with partners that include WNYC, The Marshall Project and Open Society Foundations.
