BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! FAQs
When will BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival take place? Will it be at the Prospect Park bandshell?
Yes, we will be live and in-person at the Bandshell! Though, with some precautionary measures.
Over the past year, BRIC has been working closely with the City of New York, the Office of the Mayor and the Parks Department to ensure we can gather safely at the Bandshell again this summer. Guidelines, safety measures and best practices in response to the pandemic are changing every week as more and more people become vaccinated.
Our 43rd season will take place July 31 - September 18.
What safety measures will the Festival have in place?
In accordance with New York State and CDC guidelines, BRIC is currently planning for reduced capacity within socially distanced pods. While the Festival will remain free of charge, RSVPs will be required to manage capacity, and either proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test will need to be shown; however, these terms remain subject to change. BRIC hopes all music, film, and dance lovers will prioritize getting vaccinated as a step towards bringing back live performances in their fullest form. BRIC will ensure the Festival is accessible to the community at large by creating both a web-based RSVP portal as RSVP by telephone system.
When will the RSVP system open?
RSVPs officially open July 1 for opening night and then every two weeks after that for subsequent performances. We are committed to ensuring the Festival is accessible to the community at large by creating both a web-based RSVP portal as RSVP by telephone system.
Will there be a REVEL or Opening Night Gala taking place this year?
There will be no Opening Night Gala this year but we need your support more than ever to ensure our Festival can continue for many years to come by donating here.
