Buffy Sainte-Marie
FRIDAY, AUGUST 6
Doors 6:30 / Show 7:30
The “bewitching, utterly transporting” (Pitchfork) Indigenous Canadian-American folk-rock icon BUFFY SAINTE-MARIE has been a leading voice in climate activism and social justice since the 1960s; she is a legendary live performer and a magical force to be reckoned with. Joining her on this special evening dedicated to highlighting the impact of climate change is the Massachusetts-based singer-songwriter-advocate NAIA KETE, who mixes pop, soul, and reggae with her band SayReal. This show is presented with the support of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).
Free performances at the Bandshell are FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED. Capacity is limited. RSVPs are not required and do not guarantee entry.
