The original founding member and bandleader of internationally acclaimed traditional super group De Dannan, Frankie Gavin is one of the genuine legends of Irish music. From his first TV appearance playing the tin whistle at the age of 6, to seven solo albums, Gavin has performed and recorded with the likes of Earl Scruggs, Sir Yehudi Menuhin, and the Rolling Stones. In 2010, he entered the Guinness World Records as the Fastest Fiddle Player in the World. After 33 years, 14 albums, and a number of changes in the lineup, the original group disbanded in 2003. In late 2009, Gavin unleashed a new De Dannan lineup which, in his own words, reflects a De Dannan of the 21st century. Led by Gavin on fiddle, flutes and whistles, the new group also includes Damien Mullane on accordian, Eric Cunningham on percussion, flutes and whistles, Mike Galvin on bouzouki and guitars, and Michelle Lally on vocals. With performances from Dubai to The White House, the new group will embark on a 32-county Up Close and Personal tour of Ireland through 2011.

Liam O Maonlai, of Irish rock band Hothouse Flowers, has toured the world from Australia to Japan as a master solo pianist and mystic Gaelic singer.  Maonlai has performed with internationally acclaimed musicians including Carlos Nunes, U2, and Van Morrison and was recently featured on the renowned BBC music program Transatlantic Sessions.

Carrying on a family tradition of Irish folk that goes back 100 years, McPeake bends influences from Irish tradition, folk, acoustic and country genres to create their own unique sound. Individually, the groups multi-talented members have performed internationally and fuse together to create the new sound of Irish folk music.
