Join us for the Celebrate Brooklyn! Opening Night Gala honoring Pamela Brier on Wednesday, June 9, 2010. All proceeds from the gala will provide vital funds for free, world-class performing arts programming at the Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival, which serves 250,000 New Yorkers each year. Support the festival you love and help us ensure our performances remain free and accessible to everyone.

One of New York’s most influential women in business, Pamela Brier, CEO & President of Maimonides Medical Center, will be honored for her extraordinary community service. Pam’s compassion and advocacy for public health has set the highest standard of patient care and medical excellence in Brooklyn and beyond.

The pianist, singer, and Brooklynite Norah Jones, whose irresistible mix of jazz, folk, soul and a little country made her a household name when her debut album Come Away With Me won nine Grammys and went diamond, starts our 32nd season in neighborly style with a free concert. Megastardom aside, Jones remains at heart a member of the NYC singer-songwriter community, and she’ll be honored for her artistic achievement at the gala.
