British DJ & producer QUANTIC (aka Will Holland) has traveled the world collecting sonic treasures since the age of 16, creating a sound that is rooted in the richness of the golden age of recording with a fearless modern bite for the dance floor. After a move to Cali, Colombia in 2007, Holland explored an ardent interest in tropical rhythms of the region and it was there he established his Sonido del Valle studio. His 2014 record, Magnetica, "a fine slice of mellow grooves, zesty vocals, and full-bodied percussion" (PopMatters), received critical acclaim for its marriage of South American folklore and a strong return to Quantic’s signature electronic aesthetic. He has followed that album with two records since: The Western Transient, featuring instrumental jazz, and the reggae project 1000 Watts. His life's work is already incredibly diverse and prolific, with 17 studio albums, 30 remixes, and 6 vinyl compilations of rare music—and he brings it all to the bandshell this summer.

The evening begins with two promising young Latin American artists. NYC-via-Argentina pop maestro TEI SHI "creates waves with nothing but her voice and loops," (Pitchfork) and just released her debut LP on Downtown Records in March. With an ear for both the dance floor and the art house, she brings us "whisper-y, slow and sensual bedroom pop." (The Fader) ALEX ANWANDTER, from Chile, visits Brooklyn behind his latest album, Amiga, which was ranked #1 in Rolling Stone's list of the best Latin albums of 2016. He is fresh off a Latin GRAMMY nomination for Best New Artist.
