About the artists

Rickie Lee Jones’ upcoming album Pieces of Treasure is a reunion with her lifelong friend, legendary producer Russ Titelman, co-producer of Jones’ star-making debut and Pirates. Throughout her career, the Grammy-winning singer songwriter has interpreted an extraordinarily wide range of songs and has recorded celebrated jazz-leaning albums including Girl at Her Volcano and Pop Pop, but until now, she had never devoted an entire album to the American Songbook. “This album is as much about being human, the view of surviving—which means aging, and loving relentlessly—as it is about anything,” says Jones. Pieces of Treasure was released April 28 on BMG Modern Recordings. Hear the first single “Just in TIme,” featuring Mike Mainieri on vibraphone. Her acclaimed memoir Last Chance Texaco is out now.

International singer, songwriter, and recording artist Thornetta Davis was awarded by the Detroit Blues Society “Living Lifetime Achievement Award” and awarded a star on the Canada South Blues Museum “Walk of Fame”. In 2015 Thornetta was crowned “DETROIT’S QUEEN OF THE BLUES” in a ceremony by the Detroit Blues Society, with proclamations from the City of Detroit, County of Wayne, and the State of Michigan. Thornetta has performed with and opened for Bob Seger, Kid Rock, and Blues Legends such as B.B. King, Ray Charles, Etta James, KoKo Taylor, Johnny Johnson, Bonnie Raitt, and more.

Chris Pierce gained national prominence with “We Can Always Come Back To This.” His hit co-write aired on 3 episodes of the #1 NBC primetime series ‘THIS IS US,’ then went on to peak at #1 on the Billboard Blues Chart, and #12 on iTunes Top 100. Pierce has done worldwide headlining tours and has performed on stage with: B.B. King, Seal, Al Green, Rodrigo y Gabriella, Cold War Kids, Colbie Caillat, Keb’Mo,’ Blind Boys of Alabama, Aaron Neville, and others. 2022 highlights include a solo/acoustic concert at The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, a duet with Sara Bareilles, a commercial with Miley Cyrus & Dolly Parton, and a performance/interview segment on NPR’s WORLD CAFE which aired on 200+ AAA / NonComm stations in February. Pierce also recently performed at NPR’s Mountain Stage which broadcast on 300 NPR Stations. His 2021 album, AMERICAN SILENCE has garnered massive critical acclaim from NPR, SiriusXM, The Bluegrass Situation, NoDepression, Rolling Stone, AmericanaUK, and more. Pierce releasde a new full band studio album, 45 Jukebox, in 2022.
