The genre-jumping Brooklyn Raga Massive expands their repetoire once again with a new jazz ensemble, the Raga Jazz Messengers.

The group features a dynamic lineup of NYCs finest improvisers, whose music bridges the cultural heritage of South Asia and America. From the American Jazz songbook to Indian Classical Music, their original compositions draw on these melodic, harmonic and rhythmic traditions, which gives the Raga Jazz Messengers a propulsive swinging pocket as well as a lush melodic beauty. These world class musicians embrace the traditions of soul, jazz and blues along with Indian raga, which infuses their music with virtuosity and deep musicality. The Raga Jazz Messengers represent a new generation of improvising musical artist exploring their own diverse musical personality through music drawing on diverse traditions.
