In this moment of profound reckoning for our country, I'm stunned by having witnessed so brazenly the ongoing consequences of whiteness being weaponized against Black bodies. I grieve for the Black lives taken from us: George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and many others. BRIC Radio proudly presents a live taping of its favorite couplecast, Last Name BasisHosted by husband and wife team Franchesca Ramsey and Patrick Kondas, Last Name Basis is a bi-weekly podcast that covers everything from what’s going on in the world to what’s happening in their lives as an interracial married couple. Ramsey is an actress, comedian and video blogger who spends way too much time on the internet; Kondas is an attorney and aspiring ukulele master who loves to cook.

They will be joined by special guest Crissle West, a media personality based in Harlem whose work has been published in ESSENCE magazine and featured in the Washington Post, Slate, and Buzzfeed, among others. She is co-host of the critically acclaimed comedy podcast The Read with Kid Fury, and considers being featured on Beyoncé's Facebook to be her greatest achievement.
