Join us for a reading of The Messages, a work-in-process play by 2022/23 BRIClab Performing Arts resident Colm Summers.

In rural Ireland, a pair of elderly twins are losing the family business. An Irish-American family have returned from Brooklyn. A young woman goes looking for an escape. The Messages is a play about what happens when we stop listening to one another, which explores the intersection of American global influence, gentrification, and capitalism. It asks the question – who do we become when our home changes beyond all recognition?
