BRIC Media Share

Media Share is BRIC’s NY Emmy-winning media education & production grant program. Since 2013, this in-kind grant has helped 80+ non-profit organizations create and use media to inform the public about their work in the community. During a 6-8 month in-kind grant cycle, organizations designate 1-2 staff members to take BRIC media classes and collaborate with a Producing Mentor to create a video or podcast project.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis beginning November 15, 2023. Organizations must be Brooklyn-based or affiliated with 501c3 nonprofit status.

Finished projects air on the organization’s websites, social media, and Brooklyn Free Speech public access channels.

“We are so thankful to BRIC Media Share. The program went far beyond the typical “technical assistance” grant. We learned a whole set of new video production & editing skills and BRIC paired us with a superb Producing Mentor, who spent months helping our team create a video in the voice of our organization and program participants.”
