Cult B-movie auteur Roger Corman’s 1960 adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s masterpiece of death, madness, and familial decrepitude stars a wild eyed Vincent Price (cue ghoulish laughter) and is a study in creeping, diabolical menace. To celebrate its 50th anniversary, BRIC has commissioned organ virtuoso and indie jazz crossover phenom Marco Benevento to write a new original score, which he’ll perform live here as the film looms up on our 50’ screen. We’re all doomed! Brooklyn denizens White Magic embrace the last dying bits of sunlight before the darkness descends with some gripping avant-folk and witchy psychedelia. “It's the perfect name for a band that often scares the hell out of me.” (Oh My Rockness)
