Director and composer BENH ZEITLIN teams up with musical collaborators DAN ROMER and WORDLESS MUSIC ORCHESTRA to recreate his original score to the 2012 film BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD, performed live to a new music-less print created for the occasion. Zeitlin’s magical realist fable set outside New Orleans, “a passionate and unruly explosion of Americana,” (NY Times) became the most celebrated indie film of last year, winning countless awards and four Oscar nominations including Best Picture. With the fiery Balkan-via-Brooklyn brass funk of SLAVIC SOUL PARTY.
